Y:-Yufka Baklava

### Yufka Baklava Recipe

Baklava made with yufka (a type of thin Turkish pastry dough) is a delicious variation of the classic dessert. Here’s a simple recipe to make it:

#### Ingredients:

**For the Baklava:**

- 1 package of yufka sheets (about 20-30 sheets)

- 2 cups unsalted butter, melted

- 2 cups chopped nuts (pistachios, walnuts, or a mix)

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

**For the Syrup:**

- 2 cups granulated sugar

- 1 cup water

- 1/2 cup honey

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 teaspoon lemon juice

#### Instructions:

1. **Preheat Oven:**

   - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. **Prepare Nut Filling:**

   - In a bowl, combine the chopped nuts and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

3. **Assemble Baklava:**

   - Brush a 9x13 inch baking dish with melted butter.

   - Place one yufka sheet in the baking dish and brush it generously with melted butter. Repeat this process for about 10 layers.

   - Sprinkle a layer of the nut mixture over the layered yufka.

   - Continue layering yufka sheets, brushing each with butter, and adding another layer of the nut mixture after every 10 layers of yufka. Continue until all the nut mixture is used.

   - Finish with a final layer of yufka sheets, making sure each sheet is brushed with butter.

4. **Cut the Baklava:**

   - Using a sharp knife, cut the assembled baklava into diamond or square shapes.

5. **Bake:**

   - Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes or until the baklava is golden brown and crisp.

6. **Prepare Syrup:**

   - While the baklava is baking, combine the sugar, water, and honey in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.

   - Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and lemon juice. Let the syrup cool slightly.

7. **Add Syrup:**

   - Once the baklava is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately pour the warm syrup over it, making sure to coat all the pieces.

   - Allow the baklava to cool completely and absorb the syrup. This can take several hours, or you can leave it overnight for the best results.

8. **Serve:**

   - Once cooled, carefully remove the pieces from the dish and serve.

Enjoy your delicious Yufka Baklava!
